Exercises are incomplete without your Apple watch tracking and recording them. But are you wondering how to delete a workout on an Apple watch that you do not want to record? All you have to do is have your iPhone and your Apple Watch paired up.
If you are trying to delete a workout from the Apple watch itself, then it won’t work because the Apple watch does not have the feature to do so. But you can always download the fitness app and use it to delete any workout on your Apple watch easily.
How to Delete a Workout on Apple Watch?
Since you can not delete a workout on an Apple Watch itself, you can make use of two apps from your iPhone. The Fitness app and Health app come in handy when you need to delete any recorded workout from your Apple watch.
The Fitness app is recommended because it shows more details of the workout, making it easier to find the desired workout. If you use the health app, it may take more of your time searching for the workout.
Using Fitness App
The Fitness app tracks all your workouts and analyzes the data to give you accurate results. But if you wish to delete any workout, then you can also do so from this app.

- Scroll to Workouts
- Tap on Show More next to it
- Search for the workout you want to delete
- Swipe left on the workout|
- Tap on Delete
- Select Delete Workout Only or Delete Workout & Data
Using Health App
Health app is another option that you can use to delete any workout from your Apple watch. In this app, you will have to search for the desired workout one by one if you do not remember the date and time. But nevertheless, it gets the work done.
- Open Health app.
- Go to Summary from the bottom bar
- Tap on Show All Health Data
- Scroll down to Workouts and tap on it
- Tap on Show All Data
- Tap on a recorded workout to see details
- Analyze if the workout is the one you wish you delete.
- Tap on Back
- Swipe to the left by tapping on the recorded workout.
- Tap on Delete.
- Select Delete Workout Only or Delete Workout & Data
Note: When you choose Delete Workout Only, you will be deleting the workout history only. Hence no data is deleted but your activity ring will still count the values from the deleted workout. When you choose Delete Workout & Data, the workout history and values are deleted from the activity ring too.
