While Outlook is a simple-to-use email client, there can be occasional glitches and errors when running it. One of these errors is the “The set of folders cannot be opened” error. This error usually occurs when Outlook cannot open its data file that stores all the information about the application.
Sometimes this can happen when another software is using that data file, causing Outlook to lose access temporarily. Other causes are corrupted files, faulty add-ins, errors with your profile on Outlook, or compatibility mode. Fortunately, there are simple ways to fix this error.
